Refurbishment at its Wellington store helped Wellington retailer Kirkcaldie & Stains double its operating surplus from $574,000 to $1.156 million in the year to August 31.
Sales increased 3.2 per cent to $40.8 million while rental income from the Harbour City Centre increased one per cent.
Total operating revenue was $45.18 million
