KEY POINTS:
Executive chairman Pumpkin Patch
During nearly three years as boss of the children's clothing company Pumpkin Patch, Greg Muir has overseen its dramatic transformation into a successful international retailer.
Typical of his low-key style, Muir is the first to point out that significant change was underway when he arrived four months before its listing on the NZX in June 2004.
But observers say his energetic, hands-on approach has played a big part in underpinning the company's success in Australasia and Britain, and augers well for the successful roll-out of stores into the US.
He was a former head of The Warehouse during its ill-fated foray into the Australian general goods market. He also has a high profile as chairman of finance company Hannover.
