Headaches continue as new coins are introduced

The new coins are taking some time to get bedded in.

The introduction of new coins this month is still causing minor headaches for retailers.

There have been reports that banks do not have enough of the new coins to issue.

Along with that, businesses are spending longer cashing up during the change-over, as weighing machines cannot do the job when the coins are all different weights.

Hospitality Association CEO Bruce Robertson says although the transition is annoying, it will all sort itself out soon.

He says all retailers are facing the same issues and they just need to be patient.
