The first New Zealand premises for the world's biggest global clothing brand is nearing completion in Auckland, ready to open soon.
Zara will soon open its first New Zealand outlet at Sylvia Park, which already gets 12.6 million annual shopper visits, although that is expected to get a big boost when the fashion company opens its doors.
Landlord Kiwi Property is well advanced with the $11 million-plus expansion, building a two-level structure on the railway line side of the mall in land recently used as a carpark.
Chris Gudgeon, Kiwi chief executive, said no Zara opening date has been set although fellow global clothing brand H&M opens near Zara's new Sylvia Park premises on October 1, in space previously leased to Whitcoulls.
