The jury in the fraud trial of fallen Billabong boss Matthew Perrin is expected to begin deliberations early this week.
Perrin has admitted in Brisbane District Court to regularly signing his then-wife Nicole Bricknell's name on legal documents but claimed she gave him permission.
The former CEO has pleaded not guilty to defrauding the Commonwealth Bank by allegedly forging Ms Bricknell and his brother Fraser Perrin's name to secure a $13.5 million loan to fund his failing business investments.
He testified last week that he faked his brother's name as a witness because there were "time constraints" and he "needed the money urgently".
Prosecutor Glen Cash said in his closing statement on Friday that Perrin must have spent real time and effort to mimic his wife's signature and used his brother's signature to give the document a "veneer of authenticity".
