Department store David Jones has revealed some of the brands that will be stocked in its new Wellington store when it opens next month.
The Australian retail giant, which sells a number of lines not sold in New Zealand, has kept quiet on which of these it will be bringing to the country, but photos from inside the building show several luxury brands including Chloe, Valentino, Christian Louboutin and Saint Lauren as well as brands like Nine West and Country Road.
Shoppers will have to wait a month to see the full range however, with many hoping for some of the brands stocked in its Australian stores.
The Wellington store - in the building which once housed Kirkcaldie & Stains in Lambton Quay, is promising "personal shopping services" and VIP suites with David Jones reportedly spending more than $20 million on refurbishing the building.
Chief executive Ian Nairn previously told the Herald the company was not planning on expanding beyond Wellington within the next few years, but retail analysts say an Auckland store is likely.
