KEY POINTS:
The Commerce Commission has extended its deadline for considering two rival bids seeking permission to take over The Warehouse.
Foodstuffs and Woolworths have both sought clearance to make a bid -- both parties have a 10 per cent stake in New Zealand's biggest retailer.
The Warehouse shares rose 20c to $6.81 yesterday but slipped 5c in late trading today.
The commission has been studying the applications since Christmas and was due to report this week.
