Christchurch residents who missed out on the Boxing Day sales because of the earthquake will have another chance to bag some bargains.
The Central City Business Association is planning on holding a Boxing Day sale replay.
Spokesman Paul Lonsdale says he has talked to businesses and they are keen on the idea.
";Some of these traders are going to be doing some fairly sizeable discounts and we are going to engage all the rest of the city's businesses to do something as well.
";We are thinking probably early February at this stage."
Mr Lonsdale says some businesses damaged by the earthquake are still closed but work is underway to get them reopened.
Christchurch suffered a 4.9 magnitude aftershock around 10am on Boxing Day which caused evacuations and extensive damage.
