SYDNEY: Domino's Pizza Enterprises has forecast its annual profit to grow up to 30 per cent after consumers turned to affordable fast food.
The Australian-owned and operated pizza chain that also operates in Europe and New Zealand also cited foreign exchange and tax benefits as helping push its profit up.
Domino's said yesterday that it expected net profit for 2008-2009 to be up 28 to 30 per cent from the previous corresponding period to about A$15.4 million ($19.8 million).
"Our new menu in Australia has gone particularly well, it's been quite well suited to this economy," said Domino's chief executive Don Meij.
"We had a good outcome as a result of our positive earnings from Europe. That's related to some strong FX [foreign exchange] gains we've been able to achieve."
