Oil stocks buck trend

Oil stocks proved to be the one bright aspect of an otherwise bogged-down sharemarket yesterday, as the price of oil pushed higher.

Woodside was 48Ac stronger at A$43, Santos put on 24Ac to A$12.72 and Oil Search gained 6Ac to A$3.90.
