Consumers are sending mixed signals about how they feel in an ANZ-Roy Morgan survey.
Consumer confidence dropped from 116.1 last month to 113.3. But when adjusted for seasonal patterns it was higher, 112.9, up from 108.2 in January, ANZ chief economist Cameron Bagrie said.
Compared with a year earlier, they feel worse off. But their view of the economic outlook a year ahead is unchanged and they are marginally more optimistic about five years out.
