The Motion Picture Association is targeting video pirates in Operation Red Card, which will run until July 14 in 13 countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific region.
In New Zealand, the association is cracking down on people making and selling illegally pirated movies through shops, online auction sites, markets and street vendors.
It hopes to protect sales of cinema tickets and legitimate home video products such as DVDs, VCDs and VHS tapes.
