News Corp not planning to split

Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has no plans to split up despite Wall Street speculation that the days of the big media conglomerates are coming to an end, its chief operating officer says.

Peter Chernin said: "We don't believe synergy is dead. 'We have no intentions to split up."
