The Business - the New Zealand Herald's new weekly business magazine - will be forward thinking and delve deeper into the daily news stories here and abroad.
The magazine will track the latest trends and developments in local business, covering finance, business leaders, the latest technology as well as success stories and failures.
The Business has also secured the New Zealand rights to authoritative international weekly the Economist, which will provide analysis and insight from around the world.
Regarded as one of the world's most influential publications, the Economist sells more than a million copies a week and has a reputation for balanced and perceptive coverage of international affairs.
Karyn Scherer, deputy editor of the Herald on Sunday and a widely-respected business journalist, willedit the new publication.
Scherer was a founding member and long-time staff member of the Business Herald from its launch in 1997 and won the Westpac Business and Financial Journalism award three years in a row.
The Business Herald will continue to lead business news with its six-day-a-week coverage of local and international companies, business people and markets. Its journalists will also contribute to The Business.
The first edition of The Business will appear on February 27.
