New Zealand Herald editor Tim Murphy has been promoted to the position of editor-in-chief of Herald products, including nzherald.co.nz.
Deputy editor Shayne Currie has been promoted to editor of the New Zealand Herald Monday-Friday edition, while David Hastings is the editor of the Weekend Herald. Bryce Johns remains the Herald on Sunday editor and Jeremy Rees remains editor of nzherald.co.nz.
Murphy, who has been editor of the New Zealand Herald since 2001, will now direct operations for the Herald daily, weekend, Sunday and online brands, as well as the new national news agency APNZ.
