SYDNEY - PMP has appointed the chief operating officer of John Fairfax Holdings, Brian Evans, as its new chief executive and managing director - replacing former All Black captain David Kirk.
Evans spent two years as chief executive of Fairfax New Zealand.
PMP chairman Graham Reaney said in that role Evans had achieved outstanding results in improving revenue growth, cost reduction and restructuring, and developing new business opportunities.
"He brings to PMP vast experience in printing and marketing services and a knowledge of, and personal association with, PMP's main customer base," he said.
Evans said he looked forward to developing PMP into Australia's leading integrated provider of printing and marketing services.
"I am excited to be joining PMP at this critical time in the restructuring process which should lead to improved customer service, increased shareholder returns and a more rewarding environment for staff," he said.
Evans replaces Kirk, who has been managing director of PMP since March 2003. Kirk is taking over at Fairfax.
