A Parnell company involved in the transformation of TV-advertising delivery here is expanding into Asia.
eBus - which transports TV commercials digitally between production houses, regulators and broadcasters - opened a Singapore office in August and is aiming for bases in Thailand and Hong Kong within a year.
Chief executive Carmine Masiello said no other companies offered the service in Singapore and preliminary testing was under way with four major broadcasters.
He said Singapore was a strategic location, as Malaysia, India and Indonesia could be serviced from that hub.
eBus has delivered 7000 TV commercials since its launch a year ago. Previously commercials were largely transported on tapes.
Masiello, who owns 65 per cent of eBus backed by minor shareholder business incubator The Icehouse, said the technology was updated regularly and would be able to handle high definition ads next year.
