Listed technology firm Rakon scooped two prizes at this year's NZ Hi-Tech Awards, held in Wellington on Friday night, including Company of the Decade.
The Auckland-based company - which manufactures oscillating crystals used for consumer products like smart phones and GPS systems, as well as telecommunications infrastructure - also took out the Company of the Year award.
Rakon chief executive Brent Robinson said it meant a lot to receive recognition for all the hard work the firm had undertaken over the last 10 years.
"We were up against some fantastic companies and it was quite humbling to win," he said.
The 52-week trading range for Rakon shares is 86c to $1.33.
Shares were up 2c at $1.20 early this afternoon.
Other winners included marketing firm VoucherMob, which took the Best Hi-Tech Startup Award, and Herald writer Anthony Doesburg, who received the Journalist of the Year award.
