Innovation excellence nets award

Precast concrete firm named 'best of the best'.

A focus on excellence in innovation saw Nauhria Precast emerge victorious at the Westpac Auckland Business Awards Best of the Best 2015.

The manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete components was awarded the Supreme Business Excellence Award in a black-tie ceremony at The Langham hotel last night after also winning the Excellence in Innovation category.

General manager Rakesh Nauhria said the awards were a validation of the company's work.

"The awards have given Nauhria a valuable third-party overview of how we operate - what works and will continue to be effective. They have helped to highlight areas of opportunity and areas of excellence for the whole company to celebrate."

Nauhria Precast supplies the commercial, civil and residential construction sectors.

The Best of the Best awards recognise the best businesses from the category winners of the four regional awards - Auckland North, South, West and Central.

Other winners on the night included Haka Tours, jewellers Naveya & Sloane, Bupa Care Services NZ, Auckland Trotting Club, Flintfox International and Angus Allan, Epicurean Dairy.

"We know that success in business doesn't just happen," said Auckland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Michael Barnett.

"You create success by having good people, good ideas, great vision, solid planning and by taking calculated risks," he said.
