Trading on the New Zealand sharemarket was disrupted by computer problems this morning for the second time in little over a month.
This morning's session did not begin at 10am due to what the NZX described as "technical issues".
By midday when trading had still not begun, the NZX issued a statement saying it was "currently experiencing technical problems with its market trading platform, which has caused NZX to close market trading temporarily".
"The NZX technical team is working on resolving the issue as possible, and we expect to have an update for market participants shortly."
NZX said in an earlier statement it was "experiencing some technical issues this morning which are affecting FASTER trader work stations".
On August 20 trading halted late in the morning due to what NZX said in an urgent advisory was "an issue with the RMLT (computer) system which has compromised market integrity".
