Fisher & Paykel Healthcare said today it had expanded the range and application of its respiratory masks with the introduction of four new mask models.
The company introduced a range of three new masks for use in non-invasive ventilation (NIV) at the European Respiratory Society Congress held in Copenhagen this week.
Based on the company's masks for use in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the range includes nasal, full face and oral masks for use by hospital and homecare patients.
"NIV is a rapidly growing therapy in the respiratory care field and these new masks will allow us to serve a large additional group of patients," chief executive Michael Daniell said.
A new compact nasal mask for use in OSA treatment will be introduced next month at a trade fair in Atlanta, Georgia.
"We believe this addition to our range of masks will contribute to a continuation of strong revenue growth and market share gains in our OSA product group," Mr Daniell said.
Healthcare's shares were unchanged today at $3.70. They have traded between $2.72 and $3.80 in the last year.
