Fisher & Paykel Healthcare has added four respiratory masks to its range in the first rollout of the new products promised at its annual meeting last month.
The masks, for use in non-invasive ventilation, are based on the medical equipment maker's innovative masks used to treat obstructive sleep apnoea.
They include nasal, full face and oral versions for use by hospital and homecare patients.
"Non-invasive ventilation is a rapidly growing therapy in the respiratory care field and these new masks will allow us to serve a large additional group of patients," said chief executive Michael Daniell.
Another compact nasal mask for use in treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea will be introduced next month at a trade fair in the United States.
"We believe this addition to our range of masks will contribute to a continuation of strong revenue growth and market share gains in our OSA product group," Daniell said.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare designs and makes heated humidification products and systems for use in respiratory care and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea.
The company's masks, patient warming devices and neonatal care products are sold in more than 90 countries.
Last month Daniell said expanding market share and increased product groups would probably lead to first-half earnings - due in November - of $132 million to $135 million, up $14.6 million on the previous year.
* Shares in the company closed up 6c at $3.69 on Friday.
