Upgrade for MetroPort in South Auckland

Port of Tauranga and Tranz Rail have announced a major upgrade of the MetroPort operation in South Auckland.

The $3 million project will more than double the present area available for containers and provide additional sidings that will speed up turnaround.

Work will start this month and is expected to be completed within 10 weeks.
