KEY POINTS:
The competition regulator has cleared the way for Toll Holdings to sell its Tasmanian shipping assets, acquired through its takeover last year of Patrick Corp.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said yesterday it would not object to the proposed sale of the Patrick Bass Strait Shipping and Tasmanian Freight Forwarding businesses to the Chas Kelly Transport Group.
Toll had agreed to divest the businesses in line with undertakings given to the ACCC following its acquisition of Patrick.
