Seatrade, the world's largest specialist reefer shipping operator, announced plans yesterday to relocate from Auckland and make Port of Tauranga its primary port.
Port of Tauranga chief executive Mark Cairns said Seatrade's announcement was excellent news.
"Naturally we are delighted with their decision to relocate from Auckland and consolidate on Tauranga as their primary New Zealand Port."
