Ports of Auckland and Port of Tauranga have denied a media report that they have finalised their merger proposal to present to their respective boards.
A Ports of Auckland spokesman said the proposal would be finalised in late February. The port had discussed the proposal "at length" with its board but "that is what it did every month".
