KEY POINTS:
The Sir Peter Blake Trust has launched a new range of Line 7 clothing.
According to general manager Vicki Watson, the new range will help raise awareness of the Sir Peter Blake Trust and offer a practical way for New Zealanders to support the environment.
"We have worked hard to build awareness of the Trust among New Zealanders and the clothing range is a great opportunity to continue the Trust's excellent work," she says.
"We see the benefits of this project as twofold. Not only will it raise awareness of the Trust and its aims, but it will also provide additional funds to continue our work. This is a fantastic way of connecting with people. It also provides a range of practical clothing they can use while out enjoying the environment we are working so hard to protect."
The Sir Peter Blake Trust clothing range includes tees, polos, merino sweaters, jackets and caps with environmental motifs and the Trust's Southern Cross-inspired logo.
Line 7, a long-time supporter of the Trust, will exclusively supply the range and will donate 10 per cent of all sales from the range (averaged across the collection) to the Trust.
Line 7 has been a supporter of the Trust since its inception three years ago. They are the official clothing supplier and also donate revenue from sales of their marine collections to the Trust.
Vicki Watson says the funds raised by the sale of the Sir Peter Blake Trust clothing range will go directly towards implementing the Trust's environmental programmes.
The Trust aims to continue Sir Peter Blake's work, helping New Zealanders make a positive difference for the planet through activities that encourage an awareness of the marine environment.
The clothing range will be available at Line 7's Airport and Maritime Museum stores in Auckland and online at www.line7.com or sirpeterblaketrust.org.
