LONDON - A North Sea oil platform northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland, was being evacuated this morning after a fire broke out on board.
A spokeswoman from Britain's Royal Air Force said there were no reported injuries.
She said civilian helicopters had already lifted 32 of the 87 crew to safety from the Ocean Guardian platform 125 miles northeast of the Scottish port city, and RAF helicopters were on standby in case of need.
