Christchurch firm Mooring Systems has signed a $3.1 million deal to sell four new automated mooring units to Salalah Port Services, Oman.
Mooring Systems said delivery and installation were set for June.
The order is for four new MoorMaster 600s, which has been designed to moor some of the largest container ships in the world and can cater to ships that are more than 300m long, weighing up to 100,000 tonnes.
The port of Salalah is located on southern tip of Oman and is seen as an ideal hub for the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Red Sea and East African markets.
