Lyttelton Port Co Ltd (LPC) today said industrial action by its workers would affect some of its services but others would continue as normal.
LPC yesterday received notice of industrial action from the Combined Unions consisting of a ban on overtime between February 17 and March 16.
"The effect of this potential overtime ban, if it goes ahead, is that there may be interruptions to services provided by Lyttelton Port Company during this period," LPC said in a statement to the stock exchange.
The company said the ban did not apply to reefer monitoring, ships lines and security and would not affect Pacifica Shipping, Lyttelton Stevedoring Services or Toll Logistics.
More detail on the effect of the ban was to be made available on February 2.
LPC shares were unchanged at $1.87 in late morning trade today.
