Express International Logistics has been bought by management and private equity firms Direct Capital, Pohutukawa Private Equity and Waterman Holdings.
Express founder Brendan Thomas, managing director Graeme Mann and other senior executives have also taken a stake in the company.
The deal is set to be completed by the end of the month.
