Auckland Transport is taking legal action to force owners of Eden Terrace properties to sell up for the $2.5 billion City Rail Link.
Public notices were published in the Herald this month showing compulsory acquisition action is planned by the council-controlled authority at 34 and 36-38 Nikau St.
The notices were headlined "notice of intention take land for road-city rail link project, Auckland".
Property records show Julie and Joseph Hoeft own the first property, a 203sq m plot with a council valuation last July of $720,000, while Joseph Hoeft alone owns the second, a 580sq m plot with a council valuation of $1.3 million.
