KEY POINTS:
The Stock Exchange is highlighting the success of several companies on the Alternative Market to promote the index.
It says NZAX listed companies have delivered annual returns of more than 12 per cent to shareholders.
It says successful stories include Comvita and Just Water, which have raised secondary capital on the NZAX to make acquisitions which have forged them strong positions in global markets.
It says three NZAX companies, including Comvita, have grown to levels that have propelled them onto the main NZSX market.
The Stock Exchange claims the index is a strong platform for growth companies to raise capital, trade and grow.
