Wholesale electricity prices were stable during much of the past week as increasing demand coincided with above average inflows to hydro lakes.
Figures out yesterday from electricity market administrator M-co show the seven-day rolling average price at 7.97c a kilowatt hour, down just slightly from 8.09c on Sunday last week.
That compared with 7.99c a month earlier and 8.09c a year ago.
