KEY POINTS:
Trading in New Zealand Oil and Gas Ltd was halted today at the company's request, the NZ stock exchange said.
The suspension had been asked for pending announcements by the company and was expected to remain in place until close of business today.
Shares in the oil and gas explorer closed yesterday at $1.03, having traded between 80c and $1.12 over the past year.
