Wholesale spot power prices fell sharply last week as demand fell and hydro lake levels rose.
Prices at the North Island reference point of Haywards fell 50.3 per cent to an average $75.80 per megawatt hour(MWh), while at Benmore prices were 44.3 per cent lower at an average $85.82 per MWh.
National inflows rose to 148 per cent of average over the week to Tuesday.
In the South Island, inflows were 276 per cent of average compared with 79 per cent the previous week, while North Island inflows were 65 per cent of average compared with 134 per cent the previous week.
