Former Feltex Carpets chairman Tim Saundershas been reappointed to the board of Contact Energy following its annual meeting on Friday.
Saunders, who has courted controversy over his support for two failed takeovers of Contact, was re-elected by 83 per cent of shareholders with voting rights, while 16.5 per cent voted against him.
Karen Moses, who with Saunders was up for re-election by rotation on the six-member board, was also voted back.
