The Oil Free Seas Flotilla, which spent 10 days at sea in protest of Anadarko's deep sea drilling in New Zealand waters, docked in Auckland this afternoon.
The flotilla were welcomed into shore by music, speeches and a waiata.
The flotilla, which included protest boat The Vega, spent 10 days out at sea in the drill area - 185 km off the coast of Raglan.
The standoff between the boats came to an end on Tuesday when Anadarko's drill ship The Noble Bob Douglas commenced drilling of an oil well, more than 1500 metres deep.
That same day, Greenpeace filed papers in the High Court at Wellington seeking a judicial review of the process the Environmental Protection Agency followed in giving the Texan company permission for deep sea oil exploration.
