KEY POINTS:
Infrastructure investment company Infratil today confirmed it had completed the purchase of US company Alliant Energy's New Zealand assets for $432.7 million.
The assets were a 24 per cent stake in TrustPower, plus a 5.1 per cent stake in Infratil.
Today Infratil also intended completing the sale of 14 million TrustPower shares to the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust for an aggregate $82.6 million, 12.35 million TrustPower shares to various institutions for an aggregate $86.45 million, and 13,484,048 Infratil shares for an aggregate $67.42 million.
The transactions would leave Infratil with 159.2m TrustPower shares -- 50.5 per cent of the total shares on issue -- and 219.6m Infratil shares.
By 11am today Infratil shares were down 1c to $5.44.
