Gas field wants 800 more workers

More than 800 workers will be required for the development of south Taranaki's offshore Kupe gas field from next year, according to research by Origin Energy.

Once the development is complete and the offshore Kupe field brought into production, at least 50 full-time staff will be needed from 2007 through to at least 2022.
