Fujitsu New Zealand has won a three-year, multi-million-dollar contract to provide IT infrastructure services to New Zealand's national electricity grid operator, Transpower, with the potential to extend it to eight years.
The awarding of the contract to Fujitsu followed an open tender in which four technology vendors were short-listed.
The IT outsourcing contract continues a nine-year relationship between the two organisations: Fujitsu has been providing IT infrastructure services to Transpower since 1997.
