Rodger Fisher has been elected to replace Sir Dryden Spring as chairman of the Wel Networks board.
Sir Dryden retires from the role on June 30 and Mr Fisher will take over on July 1.
Mr Fisher is currently deputy chairman of the board and chairman of Wel Network's audit and finance committee.
He is also a director of Tenon Ltd, Waste Management NZ and the Lyttleton Port Company and is former chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority and Aviation Security Services.
Wel Networks manages, maintains and develops the physical network that delivers electricity in the Waikato area.
