Electricity generation fell 2.3 per cent on a seasonally adjusted basis in the September quarter compared with the June quarter, Statistics New Zealand says.
For the year ended September, total electricity generation was 32,273 GW hours, 0.1 per cent lower than the previous year.
Thermal generation was up 25.5 per cent for the year, while hydro and wind generation fell 11.4 per cent over the same period.
