The sharemarket eased back in dull, early trading today.
The benchmark NZSX-50 gross index was off 2.02 points to 3569.22 at 10.15am while the NZSX all capital index was off 0.43 points at 1040.13.
Market heavyweight Telecom, which yesterday fell 2c against a firm market, fell another couple of cents today to be at 529.
Casino operator Sky City eased back 6c to 529 after spurting up 22c yesterday to a year high, on speculation of takeover activity in the sector. Sky is seen as an attractive target.
Waste Management fell 10c to 699, while Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, the beneficiary of the weaker currency, rose 5c to 405.
