KEY POINTS:
Eftpos companies Cadmus Technology and Provenco have been given Commerce Commission approval to merge.
The competition regulator was satisfied that the proposed merger would not substantially less competition in the eftpos markets. The companies lodged a prospectus late last year with the Companies Office, and expected to present shareholders with an independent report on the plan to join forces at meetings early this year.
