Value of non-residential construction edges up

The seasonally adjusted value of non-residential construction rose 0.3 per cent in the December 2005 quarter, Statistics NZ said yesterday. That followed a fall of 7.7 per cent in the September 2005 quarter and a rise of 20 per cent in the June 2005 quarter.

Statistics NZ said if the effect of price changes was removed, there was a decline during the last two quarters.
