The value of construction work put in place climbed 2.1 per cent in the September quarter, a Government report today showed.
The unadjusted value of all building work was $3.587 billion in the three months ended September, with residential building accounting for 64 per cent of all work done, Statistics New Zealand said.
The value of residential work, excluding inflation, gained 5.1 per cent after climbing 3.9 per cent in the previous quarter.
Work put in place for non-residential building dropped 2.6 per cent.
