State assistance is being offered for first home-buyers at Auckland's new Hobsonville Pt master-planned community.
Sean Bignell of the Hobsonville Land Co, a Housing NZ subsidiary, said an initial three of 17 "Gateway" places will be available from $350,000.
The state's new Gateway home assistance scheme offers buyers the houses but suspends payments for the land.
"They are approximately 95sq m with a land component of approximately 190sq m, nestled in a town house configuration integrated into the broader housing mix," Bignell said.
"Builders are prioritising the designs and pricing for the balance of Gateway housing to bring more options to the market over coming weeks. Gateway buyers need to pre-qualify before they can sign-up to buy."
Universal Homes offered three Gateway on Sunday, Bignell said.
Universal and G.J. Gardiner are advertising four Hobsonville Pt townhouses from $350,000 on Lester Ave, saying they are "entry level affordable".
The sections are fully landscaped and the houses are two-bedroom with one bathroom and are on two levels.
