LONDON - Plasterboard maker BPB and property firm Hammerson are set to enter Britain's FTSE 100 index in the latest quarterly rejig, rejoining the blue-chip benchmark for the first time in 14 years.
Reuters data at the close of business on Tuesday placed both BPB and Hammerson back amongst Britain's largest companies by market capitalisation for the first time since 1991.
Making way for them are steel maker Corus and packaging company Bunzl , whose demerger of its fibre and plastics division Filtrona cut its market value and placed it in the relegation zone.
