Auckland projects including a Titirangi art gallery and a Manukau campus building have been short-listed for architecture awards.
Pete Bossley, Institute of Architects' awards jury convener, said 46 buildings were finalists in the awards to be announced on October 30.
Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery by Mitchell Stout, the Manukau Institute of Technology's new campus building and transport interchange by Warren and Mahoney, Architectus' Treasury Research Centre and Archive in Thames, Christchurch's Isaac Theatre Royal by Warren and Mahoney and the Botanic Garden Visitors Centre by Patterson Associates are on the list.
Nineteen projects are in the residential category and four multi-unit developments are shortlisted, Bossley said. Athfield Architects' Clyde Quay Wharf Apartments, the Altair by Architecture+ and Marshall Court Apartments by Designgroup Stapleton Elliott, all in Wellington, and Stevens Lawson Architects' Squadron Lane Terraces at Hobsonville are in the residential category.
